A law on the anti-corruption court with the recommendations of the Venice Commission is critically important for Ukraine to continuation of lending from the International Monetary Fund.

IMF Director of the Communications Departmen Gerry Rice has said this at a briefing in Washington, reported UNIAN.

«We think more progress needs to be made on a number of fronts before we can conclude the fourth review. These issues include the energy sector, fiscal policy, approval of an appropriate law setting a strong and independent anti-corruption court, and on the latter. The last one is critically important. Necessary amendments are to be adopted to ensure the final version of that law is fully consistent with the program commitments and the recommendations of the Venice Commission and the Council of Europe», – Mr Rice said.

As «The Journalist» reported, Washington explained what the prices for gas in Ukraine should be.
