Ukraine cuts steel output and goes down on Worldsteel rating

In September 2018, Ukraine reduced steel production by 7.6% compared to the same period in 2017, and ranks down to 13th place on Worldsteel rating of manufacturers of this product, which includes 64 countries. It is reported by the World Steel Association (Worldsteel).

In September, Ukrainian metallurgists reduced steel production by 7.6% and lost another line in the world ranking, smelting 1.787 million tons of steel. In total, metallurgists produced 1,346.7 million tons of steel in the first nine months of 2018, which is 4.7% more compared to the same period in 2017.
Here is the rating of the largest steel-producing countries in September-2018:
China – 80.845 million tons (+ 7.5%);
India – 8.52 million tons (+ 2.1%);
Japan – 8.418 million tons (-2.4%);
United States – 7.251 million tons (+ 9%);
RF – 5.910 million tons (-1.3%);
South Korea – 5.853 million tons (-3.4%);
Germany – 3.775 million tons (+ 7.5%);
Brazil – 3.032 million tons (+ 2.5%);
Turkey – 2.823 million tons (-5.9%);
Italy – 2.176 million tons (-0.8%).
Iran – 2 million tons (+ 4.3%)
Taiwan (PRC) – 1.925 million tons (+ 6.5%)
Ukraine – 1.787 million tons (-7.6%).
