Ukraine opens consulate in Turkey’s Antalya

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko took part in the opening ceremony of the Ukrainian consulate in Antalya during his official visit to Turkey.

According to the presidential press service, Poroshenko stressed the importance of opening a consulate, saying not only tourists come to Antalya for holidays, but also Ukrainian diplomats and businessmen, who will now actively take part in a large number of international summits and other such events.

Note that annually the Turkish state is visited by more than 1.3 million Ukrainians every year and more than 800,000 of them come to Antalya. The number of the local Ukrainian community is more than 35,000 people.
