As The Journalist reported, OSCE stated that Ukraine’s intention to bar Russian observers from monitoring presidential elections is contrary to country’s commitments.

The first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on resolving the situation in Donbas, Iryna Herashchenko, called on the OSCE not to allow the Russian Federation to discredit the work of the organization.

“The Ukrainian side expresses deep disappointment and concern over the fact that OSCE reports on the results of the presidential elections of the Russian Federation and the State Duma of the Russian Federation have not a single word about rigged and illegal elections in the annexed Crimea. We regard such silence as playing up the scenarios of creeping legitimization of the theft of the Crimea,” Herashchenko said.

“We will continue to express deep concern over this shameful occasion during all meetings with the OSCE and other international partners,” she added.
