The Ukrainian side at the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in the Donbas in Minsk called on the Russian Federation to stop carrying out armed attacks and shelling at the Donetsk filtering station.
This was reported by the press secretary for Ukraine’s second president and representative to the Trilateral Contact Group Leonid Kuchma, Darka Olifer.
«With growing concern we watching the situation around the Donetsk Filtration Station. Systematic shelling by illegal armed formations threatens the safety of the Donetsk filtering station’s personnel and water supply, which is vital for a huge number of people. The Russian Federation still does not provide security guarantees for workers, repairmen and OSCE SMM in this area», – Olifer said.
In addition, the Ukrainian side calls on Russia to create the necessary conditions for mobile communications recovery of "Vodafone Ukraine" operator in occupied Donbas
«The emergency restoration work, which must be carried out on the occupied territory, was disrupted. Millions of civilians are in need for sustainable mobile communications on both sides of the demarcation line», – spokeswoman said.
The next meeting of TCG in Minsk is scheduled on June 27.
