Ukraine is interested in projects for the supply of liquefied gas and coal from other countries – primarily the European Union and the United States – it offsets the shortage of resources with domestic fossil fuels.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman told this in his interview with Reuters, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

«Liquefied gas is very interesting for Ukraine. We talked about the whole spectrum of our cooperation in the energy sector. As for coal, we will buy it from our international partners – the EU and the US – until we cover the domestic deficit,» said Groysman.

According to the Head of the Ukrainian government, now the Cabinet has set itself the task to achieve full energy independence – for all types of fuel. However, it requires time to accomplish the goal.

As The Journalist reported, the gas price for households will grow by 23.5% from November, 1.
