Ukraine activates cooperation with IMF: tranche may be received in late summer or autumn

Ukraine will actively cooperate with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other international lenders in the summer to prepare a new IMF program.

This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Oleksandr Danilyuk, UNIAN informs.

“We will now actively cooperate with the IMF and other international institutions in order to prepare (for the summer period and during the elections) for a new program that will give a new impetus to the development of our country,” said Danyluk.

Also, according to Danilyuk, Ukraine can receive the next IMF loan at the end of the summer or in the autumn:

“After the formation of the government or after the parliamentary elections. The tranche is important for the National Bank, it replenishes gold reserves. The main thing now is to fulfill governmental internal and external obligations. Therefore, cooperation with the IMF is important here. At the end of the summer or autumn, we can expect a new tranche of the Fund.”

As The Journalist reported, Danyluk named the main condition for further cooperation with the IMF.
