The Ukrainian Embassy in the UK demands that the coat of arms of Ukraine be removed from the British Extremism Guide.
“Placing the Trident, the constitutional national symbol and Coat of Arms of Ukraine, in the Extremism Guide published by the counterterrorism police for UK teachers and medical personnel in is beyond outrageous. No explanations acceptable. We demand Trident be removed from Guide with official apologies,” Ukrainian diplomats emphasized.
The popular publication The Guardian has published a list of extremist symbols compiled by the British counterterrorism police. Among the examples of “right-wing symbols” the Guide listed tattoo in the form of a Ukrainian Trident. It also features the Ukrainian Azov battalion’s insignia.
