EUR 500 million will be allocated to the state budget to overcome negative consequences of COVID-19.
The European Commission has allocated EUR 500 million Ukraine under macro-financial assistance program, according to the Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.
PM said that this was result of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
“Successful cooperation with the IMF has also led to an approving response from European partners on the allocation of the next tranche under macro-financial program. Ukraine fulfilled all the conditions for the implementation of reforms, which clearly strengthened its status as a responsible state,” Shmygal wrote.
The funds received will be directed to the state budget for expenses, including to overcome the consequences of COVID-19.
