Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba held a phone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Al-Safadi. The Journalist reported with reference to the press center of the Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed the intensification of relations between Ukraine and Jordan and noted the importance of regular political dialogue between the two countries. The ministers agreed to hold political consultations between the foreign ministries in the near future.
They also paid special attention to the topic of trade development and the important role of Ukrainian exports in strengthening food security in Jordan.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called for the restoration of the meetings of the Joint Ukrainian-Jordanian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in 2021.
Ayman Al-Safadi supported Dmytro Kuleba’s proposal to send a delegation of Jordanian business to Ukraine to get acquainted with the opportunities that our state provides for mutually beneficial trade and investment.
A separate topic of conversation was Jordanian students to obtain education at Ukrainian universities.
The parties exchanged views on the development of events in the Middle East and North Africa region, discussed further cooperation between Ukraine and Jordan within the framework of international organizations.
The ministers exchanged invitations to pay mutual visits after the normalization of the epidemic situation.
