Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba had a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Stef Blok, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports.

The ministry noted that the conversation focused on interaction in attracting those responsible for the shooting down of MH17 in the framework of trials in the Netherlands and international courts. The ministers discussed Russia’s withdrawal from trilateral consultations with the Netherlands and Australia on international legal responsibility for the downing of the aircraft.

“The withdrawal of the Russian Federation from consultations on MH17 is an eloquent evidence of its fear of the truth regarding events of July 17, 2014 in the airspace over Donbas,” Dmytro Kuleba said, noting that Ukraine has always been open to cooperation and provided all the necessary information on this case to the Dutch authorities.

In addition, the ministers agreed to continue cooperation aimed at establishing justice and bringing those responsible to justice. For its part, Stef Blok positively assessed Ukraine’s joining as a third party to the interstate claim of the Netherlands against the Russian Federation in the European Court of Human Rights.
