Ukraine, Poland discuss preparations for Eastern Partnership Summit

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz hold phone talks on May 7.

Ministers discussed bilateral cooperation, as well as the efforts of both countries in countering the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

“The parties paid special attention to the preparations for the forthcoming Eastern Partnership summit and cooperation within the framework of the Ukraine-EU agenda,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

In his turn, Chaputovich assured of Poland’s continued support for the European and Euro-Atlantic choice of the Ukrainian state and reaffirmed the need to maintain EU sanctions against Russia.

The foreign ministers agreed on a schedule of diplomatic contacts that are expected to take place in the near future.
