As of April 17, 29 cases of coronavirus were registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Army’s Medical Forces Command.
“As of 07 a.m. on April 17, the Ukrainian Armed Forces recorded 29 cases of acute respiratory illness caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, of which 1 person recovered and 2 died,” the report reads.
Some 277 soldiers are staying in self-isolation. The isolation term expires in the next three days for 24 servicemen.
It is reported that a soldier from the military unit of Odesa oblast became infected with COVID-19. Since April 16, he was treated for acute respiratory infections at home. Yesterday, April 16, he was hospitalized in the infectious diseases hospital in Odesa. Now his condition is stable.
