Ukraine reports three WIAs over past 24 hours in Donbas

On April 1, the militants shelled Joint Forces positions 15 times in Donbas, according to the JFO press center on Facebook.

The enemy opened fire from 152mm and 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, banned by the Minsk agreements, as well as from weapons mounted on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.

In the zone of responsibility of the Skhid [East] tactical group, the enemy for the first time in a long time resorted to large-caliber artillery systems in combination with mortar fire. In general, four shellings were recorded.

On April 1, occupiers launched intensive shelling of the Joint Forces positions near Novotoshkivske from the direction of Holubovske settlement. Within two hours, the Russian-led mercenaries fired about 25 artillery shells from 152mm and 122mm artillery systems and more than 170 mortar shells from 120mm mortar.

The enemy shelled Joint Forces positions near Khutir Vilniy and Novooleksandrivka from 82mm mortars. The militants also used heavy machine guns and small arms, according to the reports of Ukrainian defenders. In the evening, the enemy opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems at Ukrainian positions near Horikhove.

In in the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] tactical group, militants fired at the positions of the Ukrainian military 11 times.

As a result of enemy shelling, three members of the Joint Forces were injured.
