Ukraine’s Cabinet approved satellite frequency bands for Ukrainian aircraft

Satellite frequency bands were allocated to Ukrainian aircraft to be used on board airliners. The relevant decree No.251 promulgated the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the press center of the government.

According to the decree, separate frequency bands are allocated for the operation of the Dnipro radar station (located in the city of Mukachevo) and satellite radio communications on board aircraft. In addition, new standards have been introduced in accordance with EU acts.

Now passengers will be able to get expanded access to the Internet aboard liners. These measures will provide the State Space Agency with the opportunity to use the Dnipro radar to perform tasks in monitoring and analyzing the space situation.

As The Journalist reported, the British company is launching satellites to cover the Earth with global Internet.
