Ukraine’s Cabinet extends ban on imports of Russian goods until 2021

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the ban on the import of Russian goods into territory of Ukraine until December 31, 2020.

The resolution #605 dated July 5, is published on the Cabinet of Ministers website.

The document introduces the corresponding changes in the resolution #1147 “On the ban on the import into the customs territory of Ukraine of goods originating from the Russian Federation” dated December 30, 2015 (as amended by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers #535 dated May 15, 2019).

In its resolution, the Cabinet of Ministers postponed the ban on the import of cars and other motor vehicles until the end of this year.

The Cabinet also granted the SFS the right to inspect the country of origin of goods, if it is not provided for being inspected at the border checkpoints.

The decision comes into force from the date of its publication and expires on January 1, 2021.
