Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Dmytro Kuleba said that the government will finance holding of the Parliamentary Assembly session of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which will be held in Kyiv on May 22-25, 2020.
Kuleba said this at a joint meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Ukraine’s Integration with the European Union, UNIAN reports.
“The government supports the holding of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly session next spring. The necessary funds will be pledged to the State budget of Ukraine. We believe that this is an unprecedented event when the NATO Parliamentary Assembly gathers in Kyiv for the first time. The event should be held at a very high level, and not only formal, but also substantial,” Kuleba emphasized.
