Ukraine’s CEC registered 598 official observers at extraordinary parliament elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine has registered 598 observers from foreign states and international organizations at the early Verkhovna Rada elections.

The CEC registered 76 foreign observers namely: 68 from the “International Human Rights Community” public union, 1 from the Republic of Lithuania, 3 from the Portuguese Republic, 4 from the Kingdom of Sweden.

As of July 10, the CEC registered 598 official observers at the early parliamentary elections scheduled on July 21: 51 official observers from 8 foreign countries, 547 official observers from 12 international organizations.

The CEC has canceled the registration of 26 majoritarian candidates, as well as 13 MP candidates from the lists of Servant of the People, Batkivshchyna and Radical Party of Oleh Liashko political forces.
