Ukraine’s early parliamentary elections will cost nearly UAH 2 bln to taxpayers

The state budget provides for nearly UAH 2 billion for holding early elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, scheduled for July 21.

This was stated by the head of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, Tetyana Slyuz, UNIAN informs.

“The state treasury expresses its support for the elections. According to the budget program, UAH 1.947 billion has been allocated for holding parliamentary elections,” Slyuz noted.

According to the head of the State Treasury, UAH 300,000 should be received in the near future on the accounts of the Central Election Commission for public procurement for the needs of the electoral process.

As The Journalist reported, the estimated cost of printing and delivery of ballots for parliamentary elections is UAH 295 million.
