Ukraine’s Embassy checking if Ukrainians among victims of plane crash in Pakistan

On May 22, the passenger plane Airbus 320 of Pakistan International Airlines crashed near the Jinnah International Airport in a populated area in Karachi, killing 90 people on board.

At the moment, the Ukrainian Embassy in Pakistan is checking information on the presence of Ukrainian citizens on board the Pakistan International Airlines A320 aircraft.

This was announced by the Director of the Consular Service Department of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Serhiy Pogoreltsev, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“On May 22, 2020, a passenger plane of Pakistan Airways A320 (Lahore-Karachi) crashed in Karachi. According to preliminary information, 90 passengers (including crew members) were killed. The embassy checks if Ukrainian citizens were on board,” the Ukrainian diplomat noted.
