The Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin has announced his resignation in a video message, published on his Facebook page.

“As I promised, I have just written a letter on resignation. On Monday, on the day of inauguration, I will send it to the Verkhovna Rada and to the new President. I think this is right. It’s humanely, it’s right in terms of normal political culture, as we need it,” the Foreign Minister said.

Klimkin noted that he told the newly elected President Volodymyr Zelensky about his decision earlier, because the new president has a right for his own team and foreign policy strategy.

The diplomat also said that he would participate in the parliamentary elections with a team he shares the values, principles and vision of the future.

As The Journalist reported, Deputy Chief of Presidential administration steps down.
