The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine banned irregular direct flights with the Russian Federation, with the exception of the flights required to support the actions of the mission of international organizations.
The relevant decision was made at a government meeting.
“Regarding famous voyage of Boyko [People’s Deputy of Ukraine, co-chairman of the Opposition Bloc political party – ed.] to the Prime Minister of the aggressor state: we have done an analysis of the circumstances of this flight,” said Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, MP Boyko took advantage of “a loophole in Ukrainian legislation, received the appropriate approval by the FSB of the Russian Federation for such a direct flight.”
“We are now proposing a draft resolution on amending the regulation on the use of the airspace of Ukraine. It is proposed to set a ban on implementation of irregular flights between Ukraine and aggressor state except the flights required for provision of current missions of the international organizations, UN, OSCE and Red Cross,” Avakov explained.
As The Journalist reported, the Cabinet of Ministers reacted to the trip of Boyko and Medvedchuk to Moscow.
