Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk has said that the Cabinet of Ministers intends to liquidate all shadow markets in Ukraine.

He announced this following a working trip to the Chernihiv Oblast to inspect the state of forestry in the region.

“There will be no shadow markets and schemes in Ukraine. The government will liquidate all of them, as well as illegal sawmills across the country,” Honcharuk said.

The prime minister also instructed the heads of regional state administrations to take effective measures to introduce electronic wood accounting for all forest users, and the State Forest Resources Agency management to create a map for legal wood processing with the possibility of providing the public with reports of illegal sawmills.
