Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk has said that the Ukrainian government welcomed the implementation of the Gas Directive of the European Union (EU) by Bundestag of Germany. Honcharuk said this on Facebook.
According to him, Ukraine expects that the energy regulator of Germany will also act in strict accordance with the Directive.
“The Government of Ukraine welcomes 1:1 implementation by Bundestag of the EU Gas Directive. We also expect the Germany’s independent energy regulator to act in strict accordance with the Directive. The European Commission supports this position of ours,” the message says.
The day before, the Bundestag adopted amendments to the EU Gas Directive. The gas directive regulates the activities of gas pipelines of third countries in the European Union.
