Ukraine’s large enterprises suffered UAH 705 bln net loss in six months

Major taxpayers’ office of the State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine said that according to the results of the H1 of 2019, 398 largest enterprises of the country showed a loss-making financial result, declaring UAH 705.2 billion of losses.

This is 26.6% of the total number of income tax payers.

The bulk of the losses of large taxpayers for the specified period, namely, UAH 389.4 billion (or 55.2% of all losses), accounted to the banking sector.

“There are many other industries posting anti-loss ratio for the first half of the year: chemical products (UAH 72.4 billion), metallurgy (UAH 35.5 billion), wholesale (UAH 27.4 billion), information and the telecommunications industry (UAH 23 billion),” Major taxpayers’ office said.

Here is TOP-5 companies from different industries with the highest loss ratios:

PrJSC «Severodonetsk Azot Association»- losses equal to 9% of the total losses of enterprises;

Karpatneftekhim (Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast) shows 5.4% of all losses (excluding banks);

Lifecell mobile operator – 4.5%;

PJSC “Rivneazot” – 4.4%;

“Dneprovsky Iron & Steel Works” PJSC – 4.2%.
