Co-chairman of the parliamentary European Solidarity faction Artur Gerasimov has said that candidates from the European Solidarity party will run in local elections in all regions of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“We will definitely will run in local elections throughout Ukraine, since European Solidarity has supporters from Zakarpattia to Luhansk region, from Chernihiv region to Crimea,” Gerasimov said.
According to the parliamentarian, at the congress the party will decide on the candidates who will run in local elections.
“You will definitely hear all the names, and they will concern not only cities, but also very many regions of Ukraine,” Gerasimov emphasized, adding that the date of the party’s congress has not yet been determined.
As a reminder, the parliament has scheduled the next local elections for October 25, 2020.
Elections of deputies of the Supreme Soviet of Crimea, deputies of local councils and rural, settlement, city heads in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, in certain districts, cities, towns and villages of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are not appointed or held.
