Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Serhii Kyslytsia reminded the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland that Ukraine has been a sovereign and independent state for more than two decades.

“Jagland congratulates Zelensky with victory, but tweeted that Ukraine is still “on the way forward to a sovereign state,” the Ukrainian diplomat said.
According to Kyslytsia, “in accordance to the Jagland, Ukraine is not a sovereign country.”
“Just do not tell me that he just “made a reservation”. The Secretary General is not an intern, it is the highest official hired to manage the secretariat of an international organization. The sovereign and independent Ukraine has been a member of it for more than two decades, even if Russian secretarial staff members believe that Ukraine is “weak country”,” the Deputy Foreign Minister added.
