Ukraine sees the Asian direction as one of the priorities in the development of international relations after the lifting of coronavirus restrictions, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva said.
“The Asian direction is important. If we talk about the president’s activities, when we lift the travel ban due to coronavirus, we will definitely be planning the president’s Asian tour. So that he could visit several countries with which we need to strengthen relations,” Zhovkva said.
According to him, Ukraine is considering deepening of international cooperation with Japan, China and India.
“Now among the strategic partners of Ukraine are the USA, Germany, France, Poland and Turkey. Ukraine also has ‘warm relations’ with the UK and Canada,” Zhovkva emphasized.
He assured that the priority in establishing relations with other states is to protect the national interests of Ukraine.
