Ukraine reported 1,799 new coronavirus cases over the past day. The highest number of new cases were recorded in Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk regions and in the city of Kyiv, according to the National Security and Defense Council.
In total, 106,757 coronavirus cases have already been confirmed in Ukraine during the pandemic, 52,524 people have recovered, 2,293 people died from the disease, up 22 on August 23.
Most of all new infections in the last day were confirmed in Kyiv (209), Chernivtsi (241) and Ivano-Frankivsk (170) regions.
