Ukraine to create Ministry for Occupied Territories

The Government has decided to create the Ministry for Occupied Territories, according to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk who announced this at a meeting in the President’s Office with the participation of representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada, the presidential press service reports.

To Honcharuk, this will provide an opportunity to work much more effectively on the issues of working with people who have stayed  in the occupied territories or moved to government-controlled areas and are temporarily displaced persons.

“This will allow us the opportunity to work much more effectively on the issues of Donbas reintegration and the issues of working with people who have stayed in the occupied territories or moved to government-controlled territory and are temporarily displaced,” the Prime Minister said in a statement.

Honcharuk: Government not plans to split the Economy Ministry.
