The Bureau of Economic Security may soon be established in Ukraine, according to the head of the Rada’s law enforcement committee, Denys Monastyrskiy (Servant of the People Party). He told about this in the commentary to RBC-Ukraine. In the article “New player: why in Ukraine create the Bureau of Economic Security and how it will work” he explained that he sees the threat of a legal vacuum in the field of financial investigations.
“Of course, it will create a certain gap, because even if the Bureau is established, it will take time to build up capacity and took over at least the main lines of investigation,” the politician said.
In his turn, the head of the profile financial committee of the Rada Daniil Getmantsev sees no reasons to fear at all.
“This time is enough – if there is a certain desire and will – to create a new body and liquidate the tax police,” he said.
