The Ukrainian An-225 Mriya aircraft of the Antonov Airlines delivered 150 tons of medical masks from China to Paris, Centre for Transport Strategies reports.
The aircraft completed its second flight from China to France and delivered medical supplies to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
On April 19, the world’s largest transport aircraft landed at Châlons Vatry Airport, which is located about 130 km from the French capital.
The flight was operated from Tianjin with an intermediate landing for refueling in Almaty (KZ). Today, after departing from a Kazakhstan airport, the An-225 also landed in Baku.
According to Antonov, this time the Chinese side experienced a delay in loading. Because of this, the plane flew to France a day later than it was planned.
Châlons Vatry Airport informs that An-225 delivered about 150 tons of cargo – masks and other personal protective equipment.
