Ukrainian Army received FGM-148E Javelin complexes

On June 16 this year, the first batch of Javelin anti-tank missile systems and auxiliary equipment for a total amount of over USD 27 million under a contract signed in December 2019, namely missiles were delivered to Ukraine, the Department of Strategic Communications of the Ministry of Defense noted.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine received the latest modifications of the Javelin complex anti-tank missiles FGM-148E.

“The project provides for the delivery of an armament complex for the Armed Forces, its maintenance and the provision of related services for the training of personnel for the reliable and efficient operation of anti-tank systems throughout its entire life cycle,” the report said.

The supply of other military goods in accordance with the agreements is provided for in 2021-2022.

The implementation of the contract for a total amount of more than USD 36.5 million is a significant step in the development of Ukrainian-American strategic cooperation in support of the defense capabilities of Ukraine and opens up new prospects for the implementation of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine of direct foreign economic agreements in the field of armaments and military equipment with partner states.
