President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Ukrainian delegation give up their spots at the commemorative events at the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in favor of people who survived the Holocaust. This was reported on the President’s page on Facebook.
Zelensky said that upon arrival in Israel, the Ukrainian delegation found out that many of those who survived this tragedy find it difficult to get to the Holocaust Remembrance Forum because of the huge interest in the event and the limited number of invitations. In this regard, according to the president, it was decided to give up spots in favor of these people.
The President noted that the Ukrainian delegation will take part in all planned events and will hold scheduled meetings with the President, Prime Minister and Speaker of the Knesset of the State of Israel.
