Members of the Parliamentary Committee of Association between Ukraine and the European Union discussed the reopening of the European Union borders to Ukrainians, European Truth reports.
In a joint statement of the co-chairs of the Parliamentary Committee, Vadym Galaychuk and Witold Waszczykowski, following an informal meeting of the PKA Bureau, the parties discussed the possibility of reopening borders for Ukrainians.
“We agreed on the need to raise the awareness of the Ukrainian population about the solidarity of the EU with Ukraine through the use of various media. We also agreed on the importance of receiving clarifications from EU member states regarding the short-term prospects for reopening EU borders for Ukrainian citizens,” the document reads.
The parties hope for an early improvement of the situation, which will allow to safely restore travels and contacts for the citizens.
