Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said he had a very good meeting with the newly elected President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and plans to offer him his resignation letter, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“No one will dismiss me because there must be political culture. In the framework of a political culture – and I think it would be right – to allow the new president to choose those with whom he should work in such areas as foreign policy and defense. Of course, I will have to tender my resignation to the new president and I’ll certainly do this. I have already said that I have my own plans, including political ones. This [resignation] is also in line with my plans,” Pavlo Klimkin told journalists.

The Foreign Minister also added that they had discussed various issues with Volodymyr Zelensky, and I would certainly cooperate with him in the future.

As The Journalist reported, Klimkin believes that the Ukrainians are unhappy because of the USSR inheritance.
