Сourt took into custody Mykolaiv citizen, who illegally imported firearms from Poland to Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported.
As noted, the SBU together with its Polish counterparts blocked smuggling of weapons to Ukraine.
«Law enforcers have established that Mykolaiv citizen, who has lived in Poland for a long time, has established a channel for the illegal import of weapons of destruction into Ukraine», report said.
«Acquired in European Union firearms man imported into our country in disassembled form, hiding parts of the mechanism in the cabin of his own car. He sold weapons to businessman through the Internet. The price of each unit of illegal weapons averaged $ 1.5 thousand», SBU stressed.
In particular security service officers documented several facts of the sale of the pistol Glock-17 of the 4th modification, Cz 75 TS and the CZUKvz.59 machine gun.
Security Service transmitted information about the illegal activities of the Ukrainian to its Polish counterparts who found 12 Glock pistols, two Walther pistols, one Heckler & Koch pistol and money for the sum $ 6,400 as a result of searches at the residence of the perpetrator.
Materials of the pre-trial investigation with the indictment were sent to the court.
As Journalist reported, at the Polish-Ukrainian border, customs officers found almost 50 kg of contraband amber from a citizen of Ukraine.
