The Ukrainian An-26 transport plane made an emergency landing in the north of Egypt, 50 km far from the city of El Alamein, situated on the Mediterranean Sea coast.
This is reported by 112 Ukraine news agency, citing Almasdar local news edition. It is noted that the emergency landing was caused by a technical malfunction.
«None of six crew members on board was injured, but they were still taken to the hospital in order to undergo an appropriate examination, to ensure they have no hidden damage,» – the report said.
This information was also confirmed by the Minister of Civil Aviation of Egypt, Younes Al-Masry. According to him, the plane land on the field on the approach to the city of El Alamein, where he was going to refuel.
As «The Journalist» reported, during the spraying of farmland, a light aircraft crashed not far from Sumy.
