As The Journalist reported, Greece is covered by large-scale forest fire.

At the moment, the number of victims of the forest fire in Greece increased to 50 people and more than 150 injured.

The fire, which hit resort village of Mati, 29 km east of Athens, was by far the country’s worst since August 2007, when dozens of people were killed. A wildfire broke out on the evening of July 23.

At the same time, Ukraine’s MP and PACE Vice-President Volodymyr Ariev stated, that he was in the thick of events in Greece, where forest fire raged.

«We (with Natalka Ficich) wanted to stay for a little while away from news, but we got to the epicenter of events at Athens, hot in the literal sense. We hardly got out, but thank God everything is fine,» – wrote Ariev.
