Ukrainian general offered Ukrainian ships passing the Kerch Strait with help of allies

Former Ukrainian lieutenant-general Igor Romanenko believes that the allies may help the Ukrainian ships passing through the Sea of Azov by ‘fixing’ them from space. Military expert told this in his interview with UAportal.

He said that there are two possible options for Ukrainian ships to passage through the Sea of Azov. In the first case, the Ukrainian ships will not face any obstacles, and in the second – it will be necessary to confront the Russian border guards. The expert stressed that the latter situation disavows Russian position.

“I think that new attempts [passage through the Sea of Azov – ed.] should be made, but with the installation of video and audio controls, and, starting with the exit from Odessa port, to broadcast all the given orders, all negotiations with all Russian structures. And the allies will help us by fixing the passage of the vessels from space,” summed up Romanenko.
