Ukrainian border guards will check international observers arrived at elections

The State Border Service officers will inspect all international observers who will arrive at the presidential election in Ukraine.

This was stated by the Chairman of the State Border Service, Petro Tsigikal during the annual final board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv, the Department of Communication Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

“One of our specific tasks in the context of the presidential elections in Ukraine is to strengthen control over the channels of international communication due to the arrival of a large number of international observers,” said Tsigikal.

The Head of the State Border Service stressed that international observers will be ichecked by border guards on a priority basis.

“Each checkpoint will have copies of the lists of registered international observers and organizations that the CEC (Central Election Commission) will provide. The State Border Service is ready to check out this category of persons on departmental databases. Will be organized appropriate accounting, information transfer to interested bodies and its publication,” noted the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The Chairman of the border agency noted that special attention will be paid to pro-Russian journalists.

As The Journalist reported, Vakarchuk refused to participate in the presidential election.
