Ukrainian students won 10 medals at European universities games in Portugal (PHOTO)

Ukrainian students won 10 medals at the European Universities Games in Portugal, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.

So, the Ukrainian students won two gold, two silver and six bronze medals at the IV European Universities Games, which lasted from July 15 to July 28, 2018 in Coimbra (Portugal).

As a result of the competition, Ukraine was ranked 12th place in the team offset among 39 European countries. Participants compete in 13 sports. Ukrainian sportsmen proved the championship in six categories: football, futsal, 3×3 basketball, judo, rowing and badminton.

The Ukrainian team was represented by athletes from five universities: NTU «Kharkov Polytechnic Institute», Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University and Sumy State University.

Note that European Universities Games is a large-scale competition involving athletes from European universities.
