The State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) plans to overhaul the M-05 Kyiv-Odesa road in Kirovohrad, Odesa, and later in Mykolaiv, Kherson oblasts using cement-concrete technology.

The press service of Ukravtodor quotes the head of the agency, Slawomir Novak, as saying.

“We are planning to renew M-05 road using cement concrete within the Kirovohrad, Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts, paying attention to the high traffic intensity and temperature conditions,” Novak said.

It is noted that the Kyiv-Odesa highway is being repaired at the expense of the state budget this year, and it is also planned to overhaul sections of this road in the Kyiv Oblast at the expense of international financial organizations.

“In particular, we are repairing a 15-km-long section of the road in the Cherkasy Oblast at the expence of the Road Fund. This is half the length of the most problematic area of the road between Zhashkiv and Uman settlements. This year we will fully prepare the project documentation for a major overhaul of this road in areas in the Cherkasy Oblast and begin designing this road in Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Odesa oblasts,” Novak said.

As The Journalist reported, the six-lane Cosmonaut Komarov ave will be overhauled in Kyiv.
