The largest Ukrainian state-owned gas producing company Ukrhazvydobuvannya has opened two new fields in Kharkiv and Poltava oblasts.
According to the results of the 3D-seismic survey, a prospecting well was drilled at the site in Kharkiv oblast; its test shows oil inflow at a depth of more than 3,700 m. According to the preliminary estimates, the oil resources at the new field are about 130,000 tons, the press service of the company reported.
After conducting some industrial seismic surveys and drilling the first exploratory 6,300 m depth well at the subsoil site in Poltava Oblast, the industrial gas inflow was obtained. As a result, a new gas condensate field has been discovered with the resource of more than 2.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
Over the past 3 years, Ukrhazvydobuvannia opened 8 new fields, six of them – in 2018.
