Ukrzaliznytsya received 30 General Electric locomotives (PHOTO)

PJSC Ukrzaliznytsya, within the framework of the first stage of agreement signed with the American General Electric Company, received the last 5 General Electric locomotives, which will be delivered to the Kryukov Railway Car Building Works.

This was announced by Ukrzaliznytsya CEO Yevhen Kravtsov on Facebook.

Thus, Ukrzaliznytsya received all 30 contracted GE locomotives. The last five arrived in the port of Chornomorsk on Friday. The further route is already worked out. At first, they will be delivered to the Kryukov Railway Car Building Works. At present, ten more American locomotives are being upgraded at the Kryukov Railway Car Building Works,” wrote Kravtsov.

According to him, the American locomotives previously involved in transportation work very effectively.

“15 new locomotives today provide a quarter of diesel traction for three regional branches: Pridneprovskaya, Donetsk and Odessa [railways – ed.],” said the head of Ukrzaliznytsya.
