The UN headquarters plans to move to the first phase of the opening on July 20, due to an improvement of the situation with coronavirus in New York, FreeNews reported.

According to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, before the launch of the staff, the premises will be thoroughly cleaned and at the same time will accommodate up to 400 people, (instead of 4,200).

At first, focus will be solely on those tasks that need to be performed on-spot, while many critical tasks will still be performed remotely.

Headquarters staff expected to wear masks. Temperature measurements will no longer be required.
