On May 20, the UN Security Council will hold a meeting at which will be considered the issue of the Ukrainian “Language law”. The meeting was initiated by the delegation of the Russian Federation. This was announced by the Speaker of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Oleh Nikolenko on Facebook.
The meeting of the UN Security Council regarding the Ukrainian language law will be held on May 20 at 22:00 pm (Kyiv time).
Recall, on Friday, May 17, the Russian delegation turned to the chairman of the UN Security Council with a request to convene a meeting regarding the Law of Ukraine “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state language”.
As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko signed the language law.
