US destroyer Donald Cook heads to the Black Sea for regular patrols as part of a NATO mission. This was stated in the statement of the command of the US Navy in Europe and Africa.
“The USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) has begun its voyage across the straits into the Black Sea, marking the seventh time a US Navy warship has been in the Black Sea region,” reads a tweet.
The last American ship to visit the Black Sea region was the USS Roosevelt.
