The United States of America has stopped supplying equipment and parts for F-35 fighters to Turkey, Reuters reported.
The report notes that the United States took this step over Turkey’s intention to acquire the Russian S-400 system. In this regard, the delivery of the next batch of equipment for F-35 operational capability have been suspended.
Earlier, the Pentagon said that the reorientation of Turkey (NATO member country) to the Russian weapon system could adversely affect the prospects for the purchase of the American Patriot missile defense system, as well as the ultra-modern F-35 aircraft.
As The Journalist reported, the US Senate had developed a bill prohibiting the supply of military equipment to Turkey.
