The US Senate on Thursday voted for the approval of David Bernhardt as Secretary of the interior, The Washington Post reported.
Bernhardt was appointed as acting interior Minister since the beginning of January.
Mostly Republicans backed his appointment by 56 votes, 41 voted against.
